Uncanney Valley

In Uncanny Valley, a woman seeks connection by starting a small neighborhood garden. She wants to meet people, garden, connect, and let nature do its work. But nobody stops by. Until someone enters her idyll with an unusual sound. Uncanny Valley is a music theater production by Liedhuis about welcoming the stranger and the reconciling power of nature. What do you do when your own beliefs are questioned by a strange sound? A performance full of musical collisions, improvisations, and heartwarming songs by Monteverdi and his contemporaries, performed by a unique musical ensemble consisting of a soprano, lute, and saxophone.
